KES - Windows Security Center Reporting AVG is off

  • We are testing out KES currently. We are running Kaseya 4.8.1, KES, and all hotfixes. I deployed to a test client yesterday, updated it, and got it up and working. Everything was fine until I manually cancelled a full scan of the machines (which had been running for 3.5 hours!!!). After this Windows Security Center reports that AVG is turned off. I have Enabled/Disabled protection, Protection reads that it is fine, the logs appear OK, I had the client check for updates again, and I have rebooted but Windows still says this.

    Has anyone seen this before?

    P.S. Are the full scans always this long (this PC doesnt havent *that* many files)?

  • FYI - I got this back from Kaseya on this issue:


    Some items need to be checked in a KES profile so that Windows sees it as having the proper amount of security enabled.

    1)File Protection = must have the Scan all files chosen

    2)Full Scan =Must have the Scan all files Chosen

    3)File Protection = Also scan files without an extension
