Can you install an agent on the VSA?

This question is answered

A few years ago I think I might have been able to do it.  Has anyone else successfully installed an agent on the VSA iteslf?

When the VSA server reboots for whatever reason, the KAV and KAM services don't start automatically.  I want to monitor those services to alert when they're off but I'm having issues installing an agent on the server. The log says it can't contact the primary or secondary servers.  I've tried setting the KaseyaD.ini to check into localhost and 127.0.0.1 but it still fails with "Unable to connect to primary server.  Error -15"

  • Never mind! I just uninstalled and reinstalled, and deleted old temp agent folders and now it works.

  • Do you know what the Error -15 would be in the log?  I ask because sometimes this forum is faster than the 7 day ticket response

  • Are there any special tricks you have to do to get an agent working on the VSA?
