Remote Control of Vista with VNC

  • Any word on when VNC might work with Vista? For remote control, RDP isn't great as a customer support solution since it doesn't allow the end user to watch.

  • I'd recommend radmin at this point. It is Vista capable.

It's an option, but it is expensive.

  • Maybe I read the licensing wrong.

Cant you buy just one license and use it on many machines, just 1 concurrent connection?

  • You need one license per remotely controlled computer. The Viewer is free. Even at volume licensing, it can get expensive. Granted, right now, of 500+ managed machines, we have less than 5% Vista.

  • for my 2 cents... don't get in to much of a rush for volume licensing just yet.

A solution will present itself soon within Kaseya...trust me Smile it will.

If you need to connect to the computers now.... get as few lics as you need.

  • Will RAdmin work through the Kaseya channel or do you have to be local to the machine? -E
