Does anyone use Windows Embedded and to what extent does the agent work? Patching specifically.
More info, looks like we're looking at Wyse Clients and Windows 7
From what we've seen, the patching itself seems to work fine. The issue you may run into that we've seen is most of these types of terminals are locked by default so that any changes are lost when they are rebooted. We're starting to look into how easy it would be to create scripts to switch them into a writeable state, install the patches and reboot, and then put them back into the read-only mode. My biggest concern is that we have Embedded XP and 7, and also multiple manufacturers of the terminals, so figuring out the proper scripting for each combination might be time consuming.
