Renaming of Agents

  • I have a client that has renamed the machines(+-100) to conform with their corporate standards.

    Is there any way of getting Kaseya to sync the agent names with the new machine names other than the manual method of renaming them one at a time?

  • yes, go to 'System' >> System Preferences >> naming Policy >> check 'Force machine ID to always be computer name' and apply that to the org.  All your vsa agents will change names to match the PC name. If the client changes again in the future, it'll auto change in the vsa as well.
