Anyone have an idea for the 6.3 release date?
Thijs
Best I could find was "due out in 2012."
Going to Vegas on May 1st through the 4th for Kaseya Connect, and it is listed on the Agenda:
WHAT'S NEW IN KASEYA K2 6.3Join us for this informative session as we highlight the key new features and improvements of Kaseya version 6.3. You'll see first hand how this exciting new release can benefit your organization including new network discovery, custom reporting, notification bar and much more.
The Roadmap is pretty vague about the entire list of new/improved features.Anybody else have a more specific timeline that they might be able to share?

Does anybody know if the custom reporting will finally allow us to get SNMP graphs out from the info center/reporting?
I haven't yet found a way do to this straight from Kaseya (without using KNM, of course.)
The new reporting looked slick. IDK the answer to your Q, but the video for reporting is here www.ustream.tv/.../22292822 and starts at about 1:00:00.
You know one thing I would love to have is a drop down for my column sets. This has been overlooked and could be saved and configured similarly to the views. For example, I may just want some system information (CPU, RAM, OS, LLIU)....or network information (PC name, Gateway, IP, Subnet, Dom/Work)...or Basic info (Kaseya name, last reboot, current user, chassis type, etc.) This may be something to *yawn* over, but it is annoying to have to add/remove them and get them in order whenever you change directions.
Now that the reports are going to give us access to each and every table in the database, I can forsee a lot more columns becoming available for adding to the Agent screen. Being able to save column sets in the Agent view would be handy feature to tack on for us.
You could utilize the empty space I have highlighted in the attached SS !@
The new stuff looks really promissing. Hoping for a quick release date so I can start testing :)
Any kaseya employees have an update on the 6.3 release date?
Very excited for it!!
Controlled Release is starting soon, so i've heard

@Dantheman awesome idea!!
Really hoping 6.3 isn't too far away.
General Release is allegedly going to take place in Late June, Early July...
I've been wishing for this since I started using Kaseya... it could really turn the Agent Status view into a very efficient dashboard.
will the controlled release start at the end of this month or has it already started?
I second this motion of dropdown filters...for the love of god please implement inline filtering like colums...this current method of needing views for everything sucks rather hard.
In alot of cases I want to create a view for everything with Kaspersky installed and then I just want to see all the machines with a sepect status (for example)
Currently in most cases getting a view to do exactly what you want takes 20 minutes where a filter would give me the info I needed in 3 sec.
Hopefully this will be release soon and Reporting will be better
I think Mark is describing the Filter in Excel where you can select relevant information to filter with if that information is already contained in a column. That would work well, but we'd need to shade the information or do something obvious so that we KNOW the data is filtered, since we wouldn't be using the Views for displaying the data. That would be neat to just grab the Win 7 machines, hide >2 GB RAM, hide non Intel processors...etc. Perhaps this is a little complex for the Agent view. Would be cool tho.
I was suggesting sets of columns for displaying relevant information, depending on what you are researching. Sometimes you want to quickly look at some agent information and your columns were all geared toward network information and now you have to go through and show machine specs and get them in proper order...
Either feature would make nice add-ins.
what he said :o0
so anyone got their hands on an installer yet?
Well, the Help file is up: http://help.kaseya.com/WebHelp/EN/VSA/6030000/#6939.htm
Eager Test Pilot here...
For those who want to sign up for the Test Pilot program: http://www.kaseya.com/support/test-pilot.aspx
can't wait too.....but seems like we have to wait for a few more weeks
anyone have a sneak peak of the release notes since the help goes to google docsand we don't have access?
Any updates from Kaseyans here? At Connect the message was immediate controlled release and general availability in Q3 and then 6.4 GA in Q4 but no news since...the roadmap still shows development on the 6.3 items and hasn;t been updated since 3/1...
I'm also eager to hear about any possible news/updates regarding 6.3 and even more so about 6.4.
Same here, I'm hoping that 6.3 will come soon! We need the update!
/Fredric Melchersson
Whatever the delay is, I sincerely hope that Kaseya Engineers are preemptively ironing out as many bugs as possible before going CR (and eventually GA). I certainly don't mind a delay if this is the case (and have learned to take time estimations made at Kaseya Connect with a large container of salt)
Meanwhile, one of Kaseya's competitor's just released an update to their software which presumably was not fully-baked. Their support page still shows the following (names removed to protect the... um... innocent?):
...responses to new voicemails or tickets is ranging from 3-24 hours......escalated tickets are experiencing up to 1-3 day delays for a response......we mobilized our emergency support resources from many departments......If you can delay submitting non-urgent requests or utilize documentation and forums for answering those questions, it will be greatly appreciated and allow us to work through our current ticket backlog...
So, here's hoping for a smooth CR and launch of 6.3... and if any Kaseyans are reading this, you've still got a willing & able test pilot here, ready to help
I would definitely like to see 6.3 released to get some of the improvements like in the reporting engine, but I completely agree on waiting a little longer if it means less bugs. I have 20+ techs relying on Kaseya to be stable, so I'm always hesistant when a new release comes out.
Brian, I find it quite amusing the way that "competitor" phrased the posting on their support page. "Due to the successful launch of ......" Must be very successful if it's overwhelming their support team and causing them to not allow anyone else to install the upgrade in order to reduce support calls and tickets. I'd hate to see what they would call an unsuccessful launch.
This page seems to exist, but the download still seems to be the 6.2 installer :(
Agreed, but I would love to set it up in a test environment and play around with it :)
Thank you for your interest in v6.3. We are working hard to complete our internal testing for v6.3. When we are satisfied with our internal test results, we will be starting the beta / controlled release process via the Kaseya Test Pilot program. If you'd like to be considered as a candidate for the v6.3 controlled release, be sure to apply for the Test Pilot program. Thank you for your patience as we work through the release process.
Thanks for the update Kevin. We applied for the test pilot program several weeks back, but have heard nothing. Is there any kind of feedback on this or is it just "you'll be told if you're in"?
Greig McGill:Is there any kind of feedback on this or is it just "you'll be told if you're in"?
We send communications to candidates as we have have availability in the program. We typically start by gradually rolling out the installer to a limited number of partners, and build up the population as the program progresses.
OK Kevin, thanks for the reply.
Any updates on the 6.3 release date?
Anyone on the test pilot have comments about it?
etabush: Any updates on the 6.3 release date? Anyone on the test pilot have comments about it?
Now here's something I would like to know about as well.Especially with the upcoming holidays (and the drop in questions asked by our customers) the next few weeks would be ideal to install 6.3
Walter - Who is general failure and why is he reading my harddisk?
anyone using 6.3 can please share the experience..
To bad there is no communication about the release of 6.3.
Does anyone know something more about the upcomming release?
We are looking to start Phase 1 of our Controlled Release for 6.3 within the next week. Note that Phase 1 is a more limited group of customers and an invitation to Phase 2 Controlled Release will go out to the entire Test Pilot members when we are ready to take on a broader group of customers.
