I am currently running v 6.3 of Kaseya and have been tasked with a way to streamline the configuration of new workstations that come online. To that end I have been testing the Policy Management and it appears that it should help out very nicely to do this, but it started me wondering. We have 40+ different companies that we manage their workstations through our Kaseya server. To help stagger times of procedures that run, patch scans, audits, etc my initial thought was to create one policy for each company and configure the individual options for the agent procedures, alerts, etc that would be for that site. Is this the best way to do this or should I approach it differently?
Have a look at the TechJam: http://community.kaseya.com/resources/m/techjams/75291.aspx
Also, a getting started video here: http://community.kaseya.com/xsp/f/113/t/19225.aspx
Good thread here as well: http://community.kaseya.com/xsp/f/162/p/18863/87761.aspx
The resources Brian mentioned are great places for info. There was also a second TechJam on policy, focued on 6.3. That recording is available here: community.kaseya.com/.../83216.aspx
Additionally, most modules have free Getting Started videos available. You can find them in the Kaseya Learning Center at lms.kaseya.com under the "Free Online Training" section. Select the module about which you'd like to learn and review the available videos.
