We have a new online backup client and it's going to take them a week to get their files synced up with the offsite repository. The backup is hogging their bandwidth and I need to temporarily pause the backup and transfer some files. Can I pause the backup in progress and resume when my task is complete? I've even tried cancelling the backup but that's not happening either.
Thanks
You can shut down the agent, transfer the files and restart the agent. The backup will resume where it was left off.
Yann, which file or service is the KOB agent?
Hello,
You need to shut down the Kaseya Agent temporarily (the KOB process is inside), do your file transfer and restart the K. Agent. Your backup will resume.
If I shut down the Kaseya agent, then I'm unable to remotely control the computer. I need to know if it's possible to pause/stop/throttle the backup itself, without taking the Kaseya agent offline. Certainly there must be some throttling.
You will found the pause facility in almost every backup. So just go through the manual and find out how to pause the backup. You will find the easiest solution.
