Require field in ticket creation

  • Is it possible to require that the Submitter information (Name only) be required to submit a ticket? I know that if you do not fill in the summary it will notify you. Can the same be done with NAME?

  • Are you using KSD or Ticketing?

  • K2 6.01 with ticketing

  • You can define the editing templates and set fields to "required".

    This can be found under Service Desk > Configure > Preferences by Role

    Select the role, on the right hand side go to service desk, and edit (if it doesnt have a service desk assigned, assign one)

    From here you can define the fields to required, view only or hidden.


    If you are referring to users that are logging calls through the agent, then you would want to edit the default role.
