New build posted

  • Added
    - LOTS of fixes
    - Non-english collector's OS support (sorry about that one Smile )
    - Agent Install V1 (sorta flaky yet...still working on it)

If you don't have it, email me and I'll get you signed up. If you already have it
    1. Uninstall collectors
    2. Download latest build & reinstall
    3. Install collectors

I'm hopeful that there aren't any schema conflicts as there were last time...if so, we have a path. Once we drop the final, we'll begin the schema migration between versions

  • So even with Hotfixes turned on, we still need to follow the manual uninstall/reinstall path?

  • I removed collectors, downloaded from the same link as before (different file size so I think it's OK) and running the new installer.

It's only a test environment, so if it borks it, it borks it Wink

Looking forward to some fixes Smile Smile Smile

  • yeah...we *thought* we had hotfixing working...we think it is working now...but in all likelihood, we'll need one more / final install / reinstall.

  • Still can't see processor/ram stats in columns (always blank)
    No friendly names?
Icons don't change when you classify discovered items
Clicking the "dot" doesn't bring up liveconnect on collector/agented machines
    Can't add custom classifications/icons?
Install over slow link is still stalled (maybe a K2 problem and not a KDiscovery problem after all)
Can't specify range to be scanned (for instance, adding a range outside the subnet mask of the collector, which would be a very good "nice to have")

Ah, but KDiscovery does see a newly-created ORG in the tree!

Very cool, it's coming along, I can't wait to see the next build Smile

  • Hello everyone,

Has anyone had success using this build on a non-english OS? I'd love to hear if that is working "in the wild".

    Thanks.
