Hide Display option with Remote Control

  • This would be a cool little feature.
I've seen once when I was doing some 3rd party contract work for a government site and I needed something done to the PC which I didn't have enough rights to do - so the techie I was talking to flicked a button on his remote control client and the PC went 'DING' and the starfield screensaver kicked in while he did his bits and pieces remotely.

Once he finished doing the stuff I wasn't allowed to see - the screensaver stopped and we shared the session once again.

There has been a few times I have seen this could have been very handy! Big Smile

  • This is certainly possible with VNC, Kaseya would just have to build the options in. WinVNC has the ability to "blank remote screen", so if we had that option it would accomplish this request.

  • Yea the only problem with the VNC option is I believe (and please correct me if I'm wrong) it works off a power management setting which powers down the monitor to standby - and I think this broke with some updates to windows.

Still - would be an awesome idea Big Smile
