How to monitor for Event log entries

I am having problem finding out how to monitor for and generate alerts against specific Event ID's. i.e. I want an alert if a 512 Error is generated inthe Security log. I know there is a way to do this but I just havent found the correct menu item as yet.
I am using the current 30 day evaluation download (4.8.1.0)
I can see how to generate reports against the Event ID's I am looking for, wich is great, but I need to alerting function as well.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

PeterS,
You need to go to Monitor -> Alerts and from the Select Alert Function menu at the top of the page, choose Security Events. (The menu is kinda hidden above the gray box with the alert options.) You will need to create an Event Set with the event specific information in it. Click on the Help link at the top left when you are on the Alerts page to access specific help on this stuff.

A useful thing to keep in mind when creating Event sets is that the same list is going to show up regardless of whether you're looking at Application or System Log alert configuration, so name them appropriately.
