Remote Control from Linux

  • I've been batting around the idea of going back to Linux, but am stuck in Windows currently because of a few programs that require Windows to do my day to day activities. I'm wondering if there is a way that I can remote control a client's Workstation or Server via Firefox in Linux or heck even installing IE via Wine?

    Thanks

  • We haven't been able to get it working at all in wine or using IEs4Linux. And seeing as how V6 RC is not VNC, it's some custom Kaseya thing, it's not likely to be coming in the future.

Works fine in an XP VM though.

  • I think if you search these forums for iworx linux rdp you will find what you need.

so long as you can get wine on it, linux can vnc and rdp.

  • I used Ubuntu Karmik Koala (9.10 Desktop 64) for doing 95% of my stuff. For the most part, Firefox works with Kaseya. I have a virtualized XP box that I use when I have to remote control a remote machine.

There is simply never going to be the support for linux on the administrator end for Kaseya.
