2008 Server drops connection at login (KVNC)

  • I simply cannot login to a 2008 server via Kaseya.

    I remote control it fine, good connection. As soon as I login, it starts setting up my profile or whatever and loses the connection. I tried to use VNC, but I can no longer specify. KVNC is the default for the server I guess.

    When I connect back to it, it's back at the login screen. What can I do to stay connected???

  • I have seen the dropout happen when I connect to a Win 2008 server (you VNC into the server, enter credentials and click login, and then you disconnect). However I just reconnect and I am back on the system at the main desktop (the login process completes). So I can only guess that the server is having login issue?

  • we have had the same. For us it seemed to be site specific. Keep logging in
    while other sites no problem. We just thought it was a poor internet connection.

  • same as boudj here, first connect will ALWAYS fail, second connect will work.

  • Same issue started earlier this month.

    It seems to be very similar to what we see when a machine allows fast user switching and more than one user is logged in.

    Also seems to be with just W2008, but I think not site specific.

    We do not have the problem when using RDP.
