I'd like to know if there is a way to create a "Hierarchal" type of custom field. Just like the category field. like for example the main resolutioncontains mainRes1 and mainRes2. when mainRes1 is selected, Resolution1,2,3 are shown in subcategory when mainRes2 is selected Resolution 4,5,6 is shown in subcategory?
This is not possible in the current version of Service Desk, but I believe that this has been submitted as a feature request by a number of customers. If you submit a customer support ticket suggesting this as a feature request, it will generally increase the significance and weight to the requests for this capability.
