Vista64 guest- Remote Control using Terminal Server as method

  • Has anyone managed to get Vista64 (as guest) to establish a Terminal Server remote control connection via the Remote Cntl tab in Kaseya ?

When I try, it pops up theMSTSC box. I believe it needs something like 127.0.0.1Stick out tongueortnumber, but I'm not sure what that is supposed to be.

We can use WinVNC as a workaround.

    Cheers

    Matt

  • No, But your not alone in wanting this to work. I even switched back to using XP just for this 'problem'. I would be very happy if there was a solution.

  • Thanks RDC.
Do you know if it works with XP64?
I might have to run a vmware version of XP.

    Cheers

  • Sorry, no, I'm using XP x32. I will try W2003 x64 bit later on...

  • WinVNC and RDP will work for both XP x64 and 2003 Server x64. For Vista x86 and x64, only RDPcan be used currently. You need to have the latest RDP client installed on the administrator box if its OSis notVista, and also enable the Remote Access and grant the account access on the remote Vista box.

    HTH.
