Problems with remote access after 4.3 upgrade

  • We can not connect to any clients using VNC after applying the 4.3 upgrade. I have left a message for Kaseya support but have not heard back from them. I don't see any error messages on the server. I'm sure it's the upgrade that caused the problem. We used it successfully just prior to the update and could not use it after. I initally assumed it was a problem with just the client I was trying to remote into. Since then I've discovered that we can not connect to any client. I can connect via Terminal Server, but that is far from functional on desktops, since we are blacking out the clients screen. Any ideas will be appreciated.

  • Additional info: I can not preload VNC either. When I try I get:

    "WinVNC install failed on 11:27:36 am 28-Aug-06 "

  • OK. We are back working now. Called multiple times, finally asked for the operator and she put me directly through to a tech. Got his voice mail, but he called me back in less that 15 minutes. Turns out that we needed to rebuild the database schemas. I guess something got corrupted during the upgrade process.
