Offsite replication test

  • I've been troubleshooting backup issues for some of our clients on our server. Does anyone know how long the "Test FTP" function under offsite replication should take?

  • I have not had very good luck with the offsite data transfers , I am hoping that the new version really improves upon this feature. Doeds anybody know if the new version will have improvements in this realm?

  • Sean,

The next release will not use FTP for Offsite Replication. v4.6 includes its own client/server components for Offsite Replication. This will remove all the managment and communications problems people have been having with the FTP based Offsite Replication.

  • I have been receiving this error in the script log when testing replication.

FAILED in processing THEN step 16, Get Variable, with error File Open Failed, Get content from file C:\temp\offsiteDone.txt

    Here is the scenario.

A server in Denver, is attempting to replicate to San Francisco.

On the server (with a public IP) I have installed BulletFTP server.

Here is the log that BulletFTP is creating:

    (000018) 4/12/2006 10:32:11 AM - Mars (63.224.73.169) > disconnected. (00:01:16)

Does this appear to be a problem with the Backup Agent? or with the FTP server.

The reason I ask is that I am able to FTP to the server and transfer files with no problems via everything BUT Kaseya offsite replication.

    Anyhelp would be appreciated.
