Kaseya Migration Questions

We are migrating to a new Kaseya server completely and eliminating the old one and have some questions.
We know how to migrate machine groups and all of that.
However we want to keep our existing customizations and settings in tact.
Our logical guess is to install Kaseya on the new server and perhaps copy the folders over from the old box to new.
Will this work? Is there any known issues or problems with this? Does anyone have a documented solution how to do this correctly with minimal downtime?

Yes, we have that article.
We want to know if it keeps all of our customizations and settings though, like for example, which email address to email when there is an alert, etc.
