Agents stop checking in hours to days after agent update from 5.1 to 6.0

  • Upgraded to K2 2 weekends ago. I slowly updated the agents to version 6. I currently have 5 agents that I cannot get to report in. Typically, a few hours after being updated, the agent falls offline.

    I have checked firewalls, reinstalled the agent, rebooted, but nothing seems to work. I'm at a loss here. Has anyone seen this behavior?

  • I had this happen with one server. Basically it would go online for a few minutes then fall off. I was also unable to set credential, and backups were failing.

    When I looked in the Add/Remove Programs, I found that it had both the 5.x agent and the 6.x agent installed. I went in and uninstalled both agents, rebooted, then installed the agent from the link in the Deploy Agents tab.

    So far I have had no issues.
