is there reallllyyyyyy a point to having the root as well as the normal?? like really if i wanted to see...
LAB.LOCAL
and
LAB.LOCAL-ROOT
i wouldnt bother?
can this be turned off or even hidden because my machine ID list is getting to be a real pain to find groups.

That forum thread talks about how to get rid of the .root. I believe the basic rule is to make sure no agents are shown in the .root section of each group, then go to manage org section on the System tab and simply highlight and then delete the .root entries. that got rid of them for me.
