Executive Summary report issue

  • In a particular Executive Report for a single, new client, a server appears as a workstation. Therefore the Executive Summary has 0 servers, 5 workstations.

How does the Executive Report decide who is a Server and who is a Workstation?

  • By OS. What is the OS of this machine that should be a server?

Windows Server 2008. I think Foundation edition.

    Kaseya says..
    Operating System: 2008
Version: Service Pack 2 Build 6002

Of all clients, this is the only server that does not say 'Server' in the Version info. Other '2008' Operating Systems show correctly in reports.

  • I never heard of Windows Server Foundation Edition. It it exists, I would say it is simply not included in the is of IF conditions inside Kaseya to match a Server OS.

I have seen the following editions:
    - Windows Server 2008 Web Edition
    - Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition
    - Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition
    - Windows Server 2008 Datacenter Edition

I would submit a bug report to K support.

  • Interesting.

Well then, I would submit a bug report to K support. I would say it is simply not included in the IF conditions inside Kaseya to match a Server OS.
