Event Log Frequeny report is being filtered

  • I have an Event Log Frequency report setup and it was working well until a few weeks ago.
    A new Event Set was created to monitor Backup status for NTBackup and BackupExec.
    This Event Set seems to be messing with the Event Log Frequency report.

    When creating the report I select:
    Event Log Frequency.
    Last 10 days
    The 10 most frequent Event IDs
    Event Type:
    Error Warning and Critical events are checked (the rest unchecked)
    Group and View information is set to All Groups and I have an All Servers view.

    Click on Run and I only get items that match the Backup Event Set, even though it is not selected in the report.

    Please note: The Event Log reports (not the Frequency report) does work successfully.
    I have logged a ticket with kaseya. But it has been a while without resolution so I hope someone has some ideas.

  • Looks like there was something wierd in the Event Set.
    I deleted the event set and recreated it and all is going now.

  • Event Set ID was set to '0' which broke reporting.

    Worth keepng in mind.
