We receive gpt.ini errors from Kaseya

    Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GPO CN={SID},CN=Policies,CN=System,DC=***,DC=intern. The file must be present at the location . (Access is denied. ). Group Policy processing aborted.

    We can acces the policy, we see gpt.ini, accesrights are ok (effective permissions). We have this with several customers.
    We already tried to delete indexing and search services on the ini file. The ini file is opening up normal, so it isn't a corrupt file.

    Anybody else see this kind of behaviour? Does anyone has an suggestion or a solution?

  • This error is not related to Kaseya, it is a Windows group policy issue. Here is a related MS KB article - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/887303
