Do you deny prior cumulative patches?

In general, when applying approvals to patches, do you consider it best practices to deny prior patches which should be "supersets" of early iterations (e.g., Update for Windows Mail Junk E-mail Filter [January 2008] (KB905866) being denied in the patches in April because Update for Windows Mail Junk E-mail Filter [April 2008] (KB905866) has been released and is the same KB number)?
