Can I monitor corresponding Linux and Windows transactions to make sure that when one occurs, the other also occurs within a given time-frame?

Hi,
Is there a way of specifying specific time frame (eg. date instead of number of days) for generating reports?
For eg. When generating an Executive Summary report the first field to fill in is as follows:
"Summarize data collected in the last xxxx days"
We are to fill in the "xxxx" portion with a number.
At the moment it only allows us to filter reports based on the number of days unless I'm missing something. Is there a way to specify dates to generate the report for the period specified by the dates rather than number of days for eg. 15/03/08 to 15/04/08.
If there is can someone please shed some light on the procedure?
If there isn't then is it possible to add that feature in as it would be really helpful for generating reports for SOX audits.
Hope the above makes sense.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
