Removing old Perfmon counters after agent deletion

This question is answered

Hello,

I've recently uninstalled a few 6.1 Agents after migrating to R9.1. I used the uninstall at next check-in option.
The deletion went smoothly, although I'm seeing that there are still a lot of stopped perfmon counters on the server.

Is Kaseya supposed to delete these in the deletion process, or is there any other way to delete them? I rather not manually have search through 240 agents and delete them one by one.

Regards,

Thom

  • Hi

The Kaseya Agent does not automatically remove these counters.

It may be worth a short to try the following steps,

    1. Create a blank text file called selfclean.txt

    2. Place the selfclean.txt file in the agent c:\kworking\kmoitorsets\processinginfo folder.

This should clean any orphaned counters from the agent if it no longer exists in any of the currently assigned monitor sets.

  • Thanks, that worked perfectly!
