IIS & .NET errors - cannot access KAV KAM or KES (all .NET 2.0)

  • Windows 2008R2 1700 Agents. Machine is fully patched as of 1/20

Installed KSDU on 1/20, all fine.  On 1/13 could not access KAV, LES or KAM modules - 500 error.  Found that server disk space ran low (down to 400 MB free) - cleared backup file and restarted server.  Did not fix.  I have a case open with Kaseya for 2 days with slow to no response, and so I am hoping some one here can help.

These are all .NET2.0 applications, running uinder "DefaultAppPool"  in cleassic mode.  I also get ASP 2.0 event id 1062 (can't run 4.0 and 2.0 in same app pool) on the kserver.  and ASP 4.0 1309

[edited by: Marie at 11:20 AM (GMT -8) on Feb 14, 2013] Well the FIX was moving the orphaned application for recently removed KND module to another application pool and restarting the website. I figured it out as that was the only module reporting a bad path... it apparently didn't uninstall well.
  • This was resolved by pointing a removed .NET2 module to a different app- pool (after install of KSDU, I removed KND) Flakey uninstall of KND was cause

  • Did you have a ticket open?  I think I am seeing the same problem.  I removed Network Discovery (the old one) and then upgraded to 6.3 and now I am seeing this errors.  Kaseya server is restarting every couple hours and I want to eliminate this as a cause.  Thanks.

  • @GDRBrian  - I did have an open ticket, but as posted I solved it before Kaseya got back to me.   Server rebooting was not a symptom of this issue, but if you are seeing the IIS errors, what I did was maybe the lazy cleanup, but I just moved KDM to the unused "Classic .NET app pool - 2.0" which wasn't in use by any apps.   Sounds like you have more of an issue than .NET conflict...
