Dealing with Alerts

  • I get a lot of alerts, in which I've been trying to slim down. In Any case I typically just delete them and don't really use them like tickets when I resolve the problem if there was one, or I create a ticket. Does anyone actually close alerts/make notes rather than just deleting? I'm trying to find the benefit of closing them besides them "being there".

  • We dont delete them we close them. Deleting them is a bad idea as you then loose the historical data . if someone comes to you in a weeks time and asks you if you got an alarm for X or Y you wont know anymore
