How to Configure the Standard Solution Package in Kaseya 6.3

Below are Kaseya Best Practices for managing machines within a customer environment including Monitor Sets, Agent Procedures, Patch Management Policies, Views, Event Sets to help Kaseya administrators rapidly apply this standard and recommended configuration right after agent deploy.

To configure just follow this steps:

1. Login to the Kaseya console

2. Select System Menu | Orgs/Groups/Depts/Staff| Manage

3. Select an Organization and then click on the System Management Tab

4. Click on Configure and a pop-up wizard will come out

5. Simply select the content that you want to apply to the Organization

6. Done!

This script was written by one of our community members (posted at http://community.kaseya.com/xsp/f/30/p/17887/84498.aspx#84498 - thank you "fisofo"). This script detects whether KB2823324 is present on the system and FAILS if the patch IS present. Use this in conjunction with a custom view to locate endpoints with this patch installed.

KKB001000 describes the process to import this script and create a custom view.

File: Ecessa Waas 175 WAN Optimizer KNM Monitoring Template

I am sharing a Kaseya Network Monitor template for the Ecessa "Waas" 175 WAN optimizer device. I exported this from KNM v5 so if you're using an earlier version the template may not work.

I've had it in a test lab now for a while and it puts a number of nice features into a single package (WAN failover/QoS/Netflow/firewall/native statistic tracking/lots more).

To import the template, just click the 'K' logo in KNM, select Device Templates, then import:

To apply the template, select your discovered Ecessa device, then click Apply Template:

Select the Ecessa template from the list:

You'll see all the objects applied from the template to your device. All done!

.zip contains two agent procedures, one to just remove KB2823324, one to remove KB2823324, copy most recent KAV key to endpoint, and attempt to apply the key.

KB removal uses Microsoft Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool for removal process

If opening ticket for assistance after running either of these AP's, please attach <kworking>\KB2823324.txt in the ticket, and note which AP was run.

Issue sympthoms: KAV 6.0.4.1424 and KAV 6.0.4.1611 lose license after installation of Windows Update KB2823324 which was released yesterday. After first or second reboot CheckDisk is being prompted on each boot of the OS.

Patch that fixes the problem for both "WKS 6.0.4.1424" and "WKS 6.0.4.1611" attached.

Please note that patch will work only for machines where KAV is password-protected.

Usage:

1. Download and extract the Procedure kb2823324.xml

2. Import into Agent Procedures

3. Run Agent Procedure against affected endpoints
