This procedure will check the Windows minidump directory for an excessive number of minidumps.
When the count threshold is reached, an alert email is sent so that the issue can be looked at.
EDIT -- Updated to add auto removal of minidumps older than X days, if you set #minidump_cleanup# to something higher than 0
PLEASE EDIT PROCEDURE AND SET THE VARIABLES AT THE TOP BEFORE YOU RUN.
By default, it will delete any existing minidump older than 90 days before it looks for more to alert about.
Will this help determine whether or not the BSOD is related to software issue or hardware? How much detail does it exactly give?
@wsgoth: This script just reports via email the existence of minidump files. It does not do any debugging for you. That is a good idea for another script creation, though!
