QUESTION

Why are the graphs “missing” on the Uptime History Report?

ANSWER

The Uptime History report is based on entries in the agentlog. Specifically the report looks for these records in the agent log:

.   Agent started

    Agent stopped

Agent online (machine on and communicating withKServer)

Agent offline (machine on and unable tocommunicate with KServer)

Username (to identify user who is logged in)

If there are none of the above entries for a machine duringthe time of the report, there will be no graph created. There are at least twoways this might happen:

  •  The agent was online the entire time and none ofthe above conditions changed. So no data is available The report will show “100%Uptime” but no graph
  • The agent was off line (never checked in) for the entire time period covered by the report. The report will show “System has not checked in during the report period” and there will be no graph.
