Why does KES install fail due to pending file operations?
KES install fails (or in some cases falsely reports "AVG removed by user" after attempting to install)AVG install log (/kes/avginstall.log) contains an error like this (exact error code and service name may vary): -<failure

Installation failed due to Windows Pending File Rename Operations.
Restart the computer and try the install again.If the issue persists, make sure that there are no AVG* process running, and then delete all AVG folders: -Win XP/2003:C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG9C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG8C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\avg9C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\avg8Windows Vista/7/2008:C:\Program Files\AVG or C:\Program files(x86)\AVG (for 64bit OS)C:\ProgramData\AVG8C:\ProgramData\AVG9C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\AVG8C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\AVG9
Run regedit and locate the following key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

Session Manager >> PendingFileRenameOperations
the "value data" of the PendingFileRenameOperations contains only AVG
files or directories, and manually delete the key
