How do I bring an endpoint under management that was not installed via KES on my VSA?
KES 2.3 has added the “Connect Client” button on the Installations page. This will install the KES Service on the endpoint. At that time, one of three things will happen, depending on the status of AVG on the endpoint.
If AVG is not installed, the Installations page will display AVG not installed. To remove this status, select the endpoint, and run remove. This will uninstall the service.
If a non-supported version of AVG is installed, the page will display Unsupported AVG Version. To remove this status, select the endpoint, and run remove.
If a supported (9.x or 2012) version of AVG is installed, the KES Service will be installed, and communication will be initiated between the KES module and the AVG installation on the endpoint. No profile will be assigned via the Connect Client button. After the communication is re-initiated, profile must be assigned via the Assign Profile page.
